Two Days to Build What Takes Most Advisors Years to Figure Out.

April 20-21   |   Austin, TX

Offer design. Pricing. Positioning. Digital marketing. In one room, with the people who are generating 200-300 leads a month and have grown to nearly $1B in AUM in eight years.

This is the fastest way to build what most advisors take years to figure out… if they figure it out at all. We don’t plan to offer this price again.

You’re not here to watch. You’re here to build.

Most advisory events leave you with highlights from someone else’s journey. This one is structured differently. You’re not watching Ron and Matt present their results. You’re working through your own plan using the same process they used to build theirs. The agenda below shows you exactly what that looks like.

DAY 1 — MONDAY, APRIL 20

8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Strategy: Building a Firm That Doesn't Compete on Price

Led by Ron Bullis, Founder & CEO of Lifeworks Advisors, a nine-figure RIA he built using the same framework you’ll work through here.

→ The strategy that drives everything else

Before you touch marketing, you need a strategy worth marketing. Ron walks you through the Play to Win framework, the same one guiding Lifeworks today, so your 2026 decisions connect instead of conflict with each other.

→ Who you’re actually for (and the money hiding in that answer)

Most advisors say they serve “successful professionals.” We’ll get specific. ICP selection, niche identification, and the psychological profile of the client worth building your whole firm around. The narrower your focus, the faster you grow.

→ Making fee comparisons irrelevant

If prospects are comparing you on fees, your offer architecture isn’t working. Ron shows you how to bundle your services into a named product so specifically designed for your ideal client that the right people stop shopping and start signing. You’ll build your own version in the room.

→ Pricing your offer for real profit

Most advisors track AUM and guess at everything else. This session goes into deliverables, hours, the true cost of servicing a client, compensation structure, and what it actually takes to price an offer that’s profitable at the unit level. You’ll know your numbers before the day is over.

DAY 2 — TUESDAY, APRIL 21

8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Lead Gen & Conversion: How to Fill Your Calendar With the Right People

Led by Matt Anderson, CMO of Lifeworks, who built the digital marketing system generating 200 to 300 qualified leads per month.

→ A full look at what’s actually running at Lifeworks

Matt shows you the complete digital marketing system behind Lifeworks’ growth. What it costs, what it produces, what got tested and cut, and how to adapt it to your firm’s current size. This is the real system, explained from the inside out.

→ Funnel architecture: which approach fits your firm (and why most advisors pick wrong)

Educational content funnels. VSL funnels. Event funnels. Direct offer funnels. Each has a different cost structure, lead quality, and sales process requirement. You’ll understand the tradeoffs clearly enough to pick the one that matches your capacity, not just the one that sounds most impressive.

→ Writing ad copy that stops the scroll

The ad is where it all starts. Matt breaks down what’s working in financial services advertising right now. The hooks, the angles, and the specific language patterns that make your ideal client lean in instead of scroll past.

→ Unique mechanisms: turning interest into meetings

There’s a gap between “this looks interesting” and “I want to talk to someone.” Unique mechanisms close that gap. You’ll learn how to build one for your firm, a concept so specific to your approach that booking a call feels like the obvious next step.

→ Closing language for high-net-worth prospects, from a former Barron’s Top 100 Advisor

Erin Botsford built her practice to over $1B before selling it. She walks you through the conversion language that works with high-net-worth clients. The questions, the reframes, and the phrases that move someone from “I need to think about it” to “let’s get started.”

Throughout both days, you’ll have direct access to Ron, Matt, and Erin to get feedback on your specific situation. You’re building your plan inside a room full of people doing the same work.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a working session, not a lecture. You’ll spend time on Monday building your strategy with Ron and Tuesday building your marketing plan with Matt. Throughout both days you have direct access to ask questions, get feedback on your specific situation, and pressure-test the decisions you’re making in real time.

You won’t leave with a notebook full of ideas you’ll never use. You’ll leave with a plan.

You’ll leave with a complete plan for your firm. That means a positioning framework, a named offer with pricing, and a marketing system you can start implementing the week you get back. Most advisors spend years assembling these pieces. You’ll have yours built in two days.

Past attendees have been principals of firms ranging from a few million in AUM to high nine figures in AUM. The strategic approach and exercises are helpful at every stage of growth.

This workshop is designed for principals and CEOs making strategic decisions about their firm’s future. Your team can execute the plan you build here, but the strategic framework needs to be owned by whoever controls resource allocation and growth decisions.

The tickets are $1,995 $995. We over-committed on hotel rooms due to an internal miscommunication. We’re opening additional seats as a result. We don’t plan to make this mistake again. This is the exception, not the standard.

You’re responsible for your travel and lodging. We have preferred room rates at the South Congress Hotel where we’ll be meeting. Booking link for preferred pricing sent immediately after you register.

Yes, we have a block of rooms at the South Congress Hotel in downtown Austin with a special rate of $229/night. We’ll email you instructions to secure your room after you register.

We recommend arriving on Sunday, April 19. Arriving early will give you time to work on your practice ahead of Monday morning. The workshop is a full two-day itinerary, so we suggest flying out after 7PM on Tuesday or departing Wednesday morning.

If you don’t think it was worth the trip for any reason, we’ll refund your ticket. No questions asked.

What Advisors Say After Two Days in the Room

“I have a business that went from losing $20k a month on seven figures of revenue to 60% margins to reinvesting to having a winning aspiration, a business plan, a marketing plan…  And all of that came from initially starting to do the work inside the Academy. I’ve been doing this 28 years and I’ve never had to think through all the different pieces that I hadn’t thought through.”

– John R., CFP®

“My expectation coming in was that there was going to be a bunch of talking at me and I’d just be taking notes the whole time. What I got was a lot of workshop opportunities… It was a good mix of people talking, but also time for me to work. It felt like everybody here was here for the same purpose and wanted to help each other. There was no ‘you’re my competition.’ Everybody was an open book. It was really nice to come and have that opportunity.”

– Stephen N., CFP®, CEPA®, AIF®

“ You go to different types of events and maybe you pick up a tactic or one strategy or one thing you can do for your business, and sometimes you even pay more for it. This is the equivalent of an MBA course. Real actionable things to do that you have to put your head down, do the work, and if you do them, it’ll pay you back 10 times or a hundred times over.”

– Michael D.
